Armor Sets/ Professions
All,
new player here. I just got the game last week. So far its pretty cool, I'm playing the standard WA/MO class to get the hang out of it. Two questions, does having a complete "set" of armor provide any distinct bonuses? (Like in Diablo 2) Also, the non "heavy hitter professions" like Mesmer, and Necro, don't seem to get a lot of use in the game. I never get teamed up with anything but a WA/MO, or the occasional Elementalist. While I admit I'm new and don???t know the full details of the game, but it seems like there is a basic flaw with classes if no one wants to play them. AT least in D2 there was a pretty even mix of classes. Any thoughts? |

Mesmers and Necros can be heavy hitters. The difference is that they aren't straightforward characters. You need to understand their spells and effects to a greater degree to be successful.
Consider them the 'advanced' classes, where as W/Mo tends to be a popular starter class (no insult intended) because your role is more clear-cut. And, no, there is no bonus for a full set of one armor type. |

A necro is cool to play with all the fun you can have. I like exploding corpses in thick groups of enemies heh.
